Itemania actually came out on the appStore about 3 weeks ago, but I’ve been so busy attending to the game that I’ve forgotten to post about it here on my personal blog.
There have been a few reviews of the game, and so far they’ll all been really positive. The game only costs $0.99, so if you’re looking for a cheap ($0.99!), fast, and fun game for the iPhone/iTouch, please check out Itemania!
My lack of consistent updates/art has been largely due to working on some group projects on the side…but, I can finally talk about what we’ve been working on now that we’ve finished our first indie game, Itemania!
Screen Shot 1
It’s a hidden object game aimed at casual audiences. We’ve introduced a slight twist to the genre by creating full 3d levels where the player can rotate and zoom to find items. Itemania should hopefully be available on the AppStore around July 31st or August 8! To keep up to date, please feel free to connect with us through FaceBook and Twitter!
Everyone in the company got tickets to see last Thursday’s Play! Symphony, featuring Guild Wars music
There were quite a few Final Fantasy songs played, but for some reason, there was no gameplay or cinematic footage shown during the performance. Seeing a montage of Guild Wars footage was really nice, even though I made no contributions to Guild Wars 1
I changed the theme to the Blog, so I could get a little more real estate when I post pictures. I didn’t like having to make blog-ready thumbnails since everything over a certain dimension would alias funny when the source code automatically scales them down.
So all that excitement I had over the announcement of Street Fighter 4 has pretty much been extinguished after finding out the game isn’t being developed by Capcom Japan.
This game was announced a while ago, but now there’s an HD trailer out
Finally a reason to dust my Wii off. I really haven’t played with the Wii in quite some time, mainly because there hasn’t really been anything all that great coming out, but Oboro Muramasa Youtouden looks absolutely amazing!
Last week I got my pre-order for Trusty Bell (or Eternal Sonata as it’s known here….I prefer the original title). It came with a nifty face plate:
I got the Chopin faceplate (2nd from the left), though I would’ve preferred one of the other ones. They all look great though, so I can’t complain
Anyway, now that I have proper equipment to actually play console games again, the game looks absolutely fantastic. Unfortunately, I have one of the earlier, non-HDMI ready 360, so the highest I can view this on my LG 246WP is 1080i I’d love to work on a game like this some day.
I came home to a rather disturbing sight yesterday…
I kind of freaked out because it was a very Silent Hill-ish moment. The picture didn’t turn out so great, but it looked rust was creeping over my window…and then I remembered that they were painting my apartment building today! Silly me.
I’d post pictures, but I kept forgetting to bring my camera around (-_-) So instead, here’s a summary of my Street Fighter escapades today!
Yea, that’s me losing. Repeatedly.
I haven’t really done much in the actual city of Seattle since I moved here, but I finally got a chance to head into the city this past weekend. A family friend had an interview today, so we checked out the Pike’s Market area and spent some time at the waterfront.
My former lead from Mythic was in town for PAX, and we managed to spend an absurd amount of time playing Street Fighter 3: 3rd Strike yesterday. After playing with the console version, we decided to head downtown…for more Street Fighter We were very disappointed to see the machine shut down and missing a joystick!!! Fortunately we came back after dinner, and the machine was up and running with a new stick, so we ended up playing even more Street Fighter. I need more practice ><
This was the first time I’ve ever been downtown, and I must say, it was pretty nice. The convention center was pretty huge, and I’ve never seen so many gamers in one area (PAX had just closed down by the time we got there).
Well, it’s good to know there’s an actual arcade around with a 3rd Strike machine, so at least I have somewhere to go whenever I’m itching to get a good thrashing.
